SCHEDULING & LOGISTICS
How long does pressure washing take?
Most residential projects take 2-4 hours depending on size and services. We'll give you a realistic timeframe when we schedule your appointment, and our crews always arrive punctually.
Do I need to be home during service?
Not necessarily. As long as we have water access and your windows are closed, we can work while you're away. We'll leave a completion invoice and any follow-up information at your door.
What's the best time of year for pressure washing in Virginia?
Spring through fall are ideal, but we work year-round as long as temperatures stay above 35°F. Many clients prefer spring cleaning before outdoor entertaining season or fall maintenance before winter.
Do you work in the rain?
Light rain or drizzle usually isn't a problem, but we'll reschedule for heavy storms or dangerous conditions. Safety always comes first, and we'll get you rescheduled within a week whenever possible.
How often should I have my house pressure washed?
Most Northern Virginia homes benefit from annual cleaning. Homes with lots of trees, facing north, or in heavily wooded areas might need service every 6-8 months, while others can go 12-18 months between cleanings.
SAFETY & ENVIRONMENTAL CONCERNS
Are your cleaning chemicals safe for plants and pets?
Yes. Our cleaning solutions are plant-safe, pet-safe, and biodegradable. We pre-rinse nearby vegetation, cover sensitive areas if needed, and always rinse thoroughly afterward.
Will pressure washing damage my siding or windows?
Not with us! We use soft washing techniques and appropriate pressure levels for each surface type. High pressure can damage siding, which is why we rely on specialized cleaning solutions to do the heavy lifting.
Can pressure washing strip paint or damage my home?
Only if done incorrectly with too much pressure. Our trained technicians know exactly what pressure to use on different materials—from delicate painted surfaces to durable concrete—ensuring effective cleaning without damage.
What about my outdoor furniture and decorations?
We'll work around smaller items, but larger furniture should be moved away from work areas. We can help with some items, but clearing the space ensures the best results and protects your belongings.
SPECIFIC SERVICE QUESTIONS
How do you clean my house without high pressure?
We use what’s called a soft wash—think of it as a spa day for your home. Our eco-friendly solution breaks down organic buildup, and a gentle rinse does the rest. It's safe, thorough, and long-lasting.
Can you remove those black streaks on my gutters?
Yes, those are oxidation marks (a.k.a. "tiger stripes"). Our gutter brightening service uses a specialty solution to restore the clean look of your gutters.
Will you clean my deck as part of house washing?
Front porches and steps are included in house washing, but rear decks, patios, and wrap-around porches require separate service since they need different techniques and equipment.
The good news is we do offer multi service discounts, just dial (571) 538-6031 for more information.
What are those black spots all over my siding?
Those are likely artillery fungus spores from mulch—they stick like glue and unfortunately can't be removed through normal washing. It's one of the few things that pressure washing can't fix but our soft washing can.
Can you get rid of the green stuff growing on my roof?
That's algae, and yes—our roof cleaning service safely kills algae, moss, and other organic growth without damaging shingles. We never use high pressure on roofs, only specialized soft washing solutions.
Can you remove rust stains or red clay from my siding?
Yes, we can tackle most stubborn stains including rust and clay with specialized treatments. These require extra attention and may involve additional charges, but we can usually get them out.
TECHNICAL QUESTIONS
How much water do you use?
Our soft wash method is water-efficient—a typical house wash uses less than $5 worth of water. If you're on a well system, we can bring our own water supply for an additional fee
Will it be noisy and disrupt my family?
Not at all. Our equipment is much quieter than traditional pressure washing. We can keep trucks parked away from windows if noise is a concern.
Does pressure washing increase home value?
According to real estate professionals, exterior cleaning can add $12,000-$15,000 in perceived value and helps homes sell faster. Clean exteriors create powerful first impressions that translate to better offers.
Can I just rent equipment and do it myself?
You could, but here's why most people choose professional service: rental equipment lacks the control and power of commercial units, you'd need to buy the right cleaning solutions, and there's a real learning curve to avoid damage. Plus, factor in your time and the hassle of hauling equipment.
SPECIAL SERVICES
Do you offer senior or military discounts?
Yes! We offer discounts for seniors, active military, and veterans. If you qualify for multiple discounts, you get them all.
Can you handle commercial properties?
Absolutely. We work with property managers, HOAs, and business owners throughout Northern Virginia. Group scheduling and commercial rates are available.
Do you provide service contracts or maintenance plans?
Yes, we offer maintenance agreements that ensure regular service while locking in your rates. It's convenient for you and helps us schedule efficiently.
What if I need emergency cleaning services?
We understand that sometimes you need service quickly—maybe you're hosting an event or putting your house on the market. We'll do our best to accommodate rush requests when our schedule allows.
WHAT WE DON'T DO
Do you apply stains or paint?
We focus on cleaning and use only clear protective sealers on appropriate surfaces. We can't apply stains, paints, or products you provide since we guarantee only our own materials and application methods.
Can you remove ivy or vines from my house?
Vine removal requires specialized techniques beyond pressure washing, and the attachment points can damage siding when removed. We focus on cleaning services rather than landscaping modifications.
Do you clean interiors or garage spaces?
Our equipment and techniques are designed specifically for exterior surfaces. We don't provide interior cleaning services.
Will you remove bird nests?
We can remove empty nests upon request, but we won't disturb active nests with eggs or babies. Once the birds have moved on, we're happy to help.
